Let's blame CSIS
I work in one of the premier office towers downtown. We have shiny windows, lots of elevators, pedway access to everything and even better... CSIS shares the builiding with us (but they're secret so we're not supposed to know even though they have their own elevator, their own generator and when they moved in to the building had piles of unattended labelled boxes in the loading bay). TOday we're blaming them for our problems because we don't know the real cause. All of the power in the building shut off at about 10:15 this morning and the entire building was evacuated for a couple of hours. Fire trucks came, people weren't allowed in and we had patients who came downtown and couldn't get in for their appontments. Better than the dental office on the 9th floor that had just frozen a few people and were about to start drilling! Upon return into the building I overheard someone reaming out some of the Oxford staff about how it's ridiculous that a tiny thing could shut a building down for 2 hours. I wonder what the tiny thing was? So after discussion with my co-workers we decided that it was CSIS. I'm sure that we'll get a nice memo tomorrow saying that the problem was fixed and won't happen again and thanks for our patience etc., but we know that it's cover-up for some secret Canadian spy stuff that required a massive amount of generator power. So until we find out differently... CSIS broke our building. Unless of course the malls across the street wanted more money and arranged for our building to be evacuated so that everyone would go over and spend money!! It is a day of conspiracy theories around here!!
